I'm not a real fan of cream pies but the Hoosier Chocolate Cream Pie changed my mindset. This is a premium cream pie that is multiple quality steps above the cheap grocery storm cream pies I grew up. The Chocolate Cream Pie is a Hoosier signature pie and I understand why after the eating. The cream is moderately dense and it's sweetened just so that it's right for adults who want a slight amount of sweetness with a touch of chocolate bitterness.

If you love pie, this is simply the best pie shop in Chicago. One of the things I appreciate most is that Hoosier Mama embraces the seasons, constantly changing many of its fruit pies to showcase the freshest ingredients while still maintaining an outstanding selection of year-round favorites. Over the years I’ve worked my way through much of the menu, and it is hard to pick favorites, but the strawberry rhubarb, strawberry chiffon, cherry, sour cream apple, and sour cream cherry pies have all been exceptional. What sets Hoosier Mama apart is the balance between creativity and tradition. You’ll find beautifully executed classics alongside innovative seasonal creations that keep you coming back to see what’s new. Their savory pies are equally impressive and make a fantastic lunch or light dinner. Located in West Town—one of Chicago’s best neighborhoods for outstanding restaurants and bars—Hoosier Mama is a true Chicago gem that should be on every local’s and visitor’s list. Whether you’re buying a whole pie for a celebration or just stopping in for a slice, it’s consistently one of the city’s finest dessert experiences.

Hoosier Mama Pie Company offers a great selection of both traditional favorites and unique flavors! The savory and sweet pies are all fresh, flavorful, and made with quality ingredients. It was hard to choose because everything sounded and looked delicious!!💫 I highly recommend stopping by for a slice or whole once :)!!

Ordered the Hoosier Sugar Pie I believe it’s called - it was phenomenal. Intensely rich brown butter flavor with an almost gelato consistency. So so good. The decor of the shop is also super cute vintage themed.

Went for the first time because a friend says they’re obsessed with the place, got a whole Passionfruit Meringue Pie to share with family and it was SO GOOD, tart and sweet and really pretty. The staff were friendly, gave recs when I said it was my first time and I wanted to get something for my family to share. The vibes were so cute too. Will definitely be back!!
